How I Started A Side Hustle On FIVERR And Made $10,000

Fiverr is one of the world’s largest Marketplace that allows Freelancers the opportunity to sell their talent and their services. It was launched in 2010 and is available in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and Portuguese.

Fiverr has four levels, the regular account (no levels), level 1, level 2, and top-rated seller.

Fiverr has come along since its launch. When I started on Fiverr, all the gigs had a front-end price of $5, but there are now many new features that allow you to price your gigs higher and send custom offers. Therefore the potential to make money on Fiverr is even better than before.

  • How I Discovered Fiverr Girl Boss

I was curious to see if it was possible to make money online, but I thought it was impossible. I did a Google search, and to my surprise, there were over a Million results.

After seeing those results on Google, I started reading as many articles as possible and discovered Fiverr. I signed up and listed the most random service, which was along the lines of

“I will call anyone and sign them a happy birthday,”

But I never made a sale; I was discouraged and started focusing on other methods of making money. One day I decided to do intensive research on Fiverr, which led me to create my checklist. This set of rules I learned while doing my research would help me get sales.

Once I did my research and created my checklist, things started to change. I started to get sales on a daily basis. I was only spending 5 minutes completing each task and making up to $40 per sale, thanks to my gig extras.

The fact that I was making money on Fiverr every month with little effort was exciting. Many of my friends became curious and wanted me to share my checklist. I decided to create my first ebook called Fiverr Complete Mastery as a simple way to share what I was doing.

    1. Look At What The Top Sellers Are Doing

The best way to know what is working is to look at what other sellers are doing. There is no need to reinvent the wheel; simply follow what is already working. You can find out how many sales a gig is getting by the number of orders in the queue.

    2. A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

    fiverr

Adding a picture to your gig is a must, but adding a high-quality image makes all the difference. This is key to standing out amongst the hundreds of gigs that might be similar to yours. You can find a wide selection of royalty-free photos that you can use by doing a Google search.

    3. Find And Add The Proper Tags

A good description and the images are awesome, but if you don’t have the proper tags, it will be difficult for potential buyers to find your offer. Always be sure to find at least five keywords related to your gig. You just need to think of words people may type when trying to find your service.

    4. Add A Short Description

Make your description stand out by listing the benefits of your service. List the reason your offer is better compared to the competition. Offering refunds will build more trust, but you want to be selective in how you word it. Some people will abuse it and try to get your service for free.

    5. Link Back To Your Profile And Related Gigs

An excellent way to increase your sales is to leave a link to a related gig and a link to your profile at the end of your description. This will encourage buyers to check out your profile and purchase even more gigs.

    6. Add Extras That Compliment The Gig

Having extras will help you to turn Fiverr into a side hustle. You want to make sure they are relevant to your front-end offer and that the price makes sense. An extra is a upsells that will help your buyers get the work delivered in a faster time or provide a content upgrade that will benefit your customer.

    7. Add  A Video To Attract Buyers

Having a video on your gig is not a requirement but is something that will increase your sales and help you to stand out. A video adds trust and more of a professional presence.

    8. The Buyer Request Feature

Using the buyer request feature is not a required step. This was one of the things I did to get my first sales and reviews. It may not be as effective as before, but you can still give it a try. The buyer request feature allows you to respond to people looking for a specific service. If it is something you can do, you can send a custom offer.

    9. Offer A Special Promotion

Everyone loves a discount or a way to save, so why not offer a promo. You can offer a free gig for those who made two purchases at the same time, so they get three gigs for the price of two. You can also do a 24-hour delivery promotion for the first 20 people to purchase your service.

    10. Deliver the Gig In Pdf Format

The PDF format is a professional way of delivering your completed work. It allows you to add your website and contact information. Sending your personal information directly in the Fiverr message section can get your account banned.

    Conclusion

If you are looking to start a side hustle and don’t have any money to invest upfront, I would recommend Fiverr. It will take consistency and effort, but it is one of the simplest and easiest ways to start making extra money online.

If you would like to start a side hustle, I covered all this information in more detail in my Fiverr Complete Mastery Course which is available FREE for a limited time.
